Q: How far in advance should we book a session with SJP?
A: The SJP Studio is often scheduled 4 to 6 weeks out. It is best to book your shoot as soon as you know what time frame or season you are hoping for.

Q: Where will our shoot take place?
A: The location of your shoot is completely customized. This means that during your style consultation with Stephanie prior to your shoot, you will discuss your personal style and what you envision for your portraits. From there, Stephanie finds a location that best suits your needs and wishes. Since these images will be hung in your home and on display we want to make sure that the overall style of your imagery reflects you.

Q: How soon can we expect to see our images?
A: You can expect to view your final image collection approximately three weeks following your photo shoot.

Q: Are digital negatives available for purchase?
A: Digital negatives are available for purchase at an investment of $25 per image or as a whole collection of every image for an investment of $450. These digital negatives are high res files and come with printing rights.

Q: How many pictures will you take?
A: This number varies on the session. No matter how many images are created, clients consistently seem to have ten to twenty absolute favorites that they want to print and use frequently. I guarantee 30 images by contract, though many people end up with 40-60 to choose from.

Q: How do I order additional prints in the future?
A: If you would like to place an additional order after your session premiere, you can contact the studio at anytime within the next year to do so. A year after your session, your images are then placed into our archives and require a $75 un-archiving fee to access and order from.

Q: When can we expect to receive our order?
A: Once your order is received by the studio, you can expect your package to arrive within 6 to 8 weeks.

Q: When is my session fee due?
A: Your session fee is due at the time of booking in order to reserve your date in time. You will be sent a contract & invoice to complete, and your payment can be made instantly via PayPal, or via credit card or check.

Q: I'd like to have a family/newborn session, but I'm afraid my kids won't cooperate. What do I do?
A: This is a very common concern, especially for Moms of shy children. Your session is all about your family having a good time together. During our consultation, you can tell me all about your kids and well plan the session around what they'll enjoy. We'll be sure to go over any specific concerns you may have in our consultation before the shoot.

Q: Can I have location and/or outfit changes?
A: These photos are about who you are and how you spend time with those you love. Depending on your goals for the session, a change or two may be in order, but the more changes you make, the less time we have to simply interact and have fun. The best photographs are created when you're having a great time and not worrying about whats happening next.

Q: Do you shoot in color or in black and white?
A: Images are captured in a high-quality but unfinished color format. Each image is individually handcrafted using professional techniques to tone and refine the image. Occasionally, after finishing an image in color, I may create a separate black and white version to highlight the emotion of the image, or to render it with a more timeless feel. If this is the case, you will have the option to choose one or both images for your own use.
